COULEE DAM – Lake Roosevelt High School hosted the Powerhouse Invitational Wrestling Tournament, Jan. 3, hosting 10 teams and winning the team trophy.
Bracket winners included Colville tribal member Tameron Hall of Omak in the 106 weight bracket, Colville descendant Colton Jackson at 113, Warden’s Cael Cox at 120, Colville tribal member Tayten Flores at 126, Tonasket’s Angel Depaz at 132, Tonasket’s Chris Rivera at 138, Tonasket’s Enrique Long at 145, Oroville’s Darian Range at 152, Raineer’s Brody Klein at 160, Oroville’s Colby Guzman at 170, Colville tribal descendent Sergio Galicia at 182, Colville member Myka Boyd at 195, Colville member Trevon Johnson at 220 and Almira-Coulee-Hartline’s Will Hahn at 285.
Additional placers for Lake Roosevelt included Colville tribal member Robert Thomas, who placed second at 120, Colville member C.J. Arcasa, who placed second at 126, Colville descendent Landon Krohn, who placed second at 145, Colville member Tyler Palmer, who placed second at 170, Colville member Kaiden Palmer, who placed third at 170, and Colville tribal member Joey Tynan, who placed third at 285.
Additional placers for Omak included Colville member Kaiden Cate, who placed third at 120, Colville member Kessler Fjellman, who placed second at 132, Caden Johnson, who placed third at 138, Colville member Tony Marchand, who placed second at 152, and Anthony Cardona, who placed fourth at 160.
For Wilbur-Creston-Keller, Drew Jackson, a Colville descendent, placed fourth at 120, Logan Strozyk placed fourth at 152, Wyatt Corrigan placed third at 182, and Colville member Jon Avery Atkins placed third at 195.
Lake Roosevelt won the team score with a total of 187 points. Tonasket placed second with 139.50 points. Oroville placed third with 123.5 points, and Omak placed fourth with 121 points.
