Jacob Meusy (middle) has signed to play with the Tri-Cities Fire

Jacob Meusy signed a deal Wednesday with the Tri-Cities Fire, a professional indoor football team based out of Kennewick.

He will play on the offensive and defensive line this season.

"It's official," Meusy said. "God is great. Just a kid from Spokane living a dream."

The 2014 Rogers High School graduate played three seasons with the Spokane Wolfpack semi-pro team before trying out and making the Fire.

"It's amazing," he said. "Couldn't do it without God and the support from my family and friends."

Meusy, a tribal descendant, is the son of Tracie Meusy.

The Tri-Cities Fire participates in the American West Football Conference, which will begin its inaugural season March 23. The league is comprised of four teams including the Fire, the Idaho Horsemen, the Reno Express and the Wenatchee Valley Skyhawks.
