Lake Roosevelt reaches quarterfinals for the first time since 2001
KALAMA – Another successful season is in the books for the Lake Roosevelt high school football team.
For a fourth consecutive season, the Raiders have qualified for the WIAA 2B State Tournament.
After beating Friday Harbor 19-14, Nov. 16, in the first round of the state playoffs, Lake Roosevelt would be moving on the quarterfinals for the first time in 18 years.
Kalama would be standing in their way as the Chinooks would get out to an early lead and would never look back as they would go on to win 43-0 over Lake Roosevelt, on Nov. 23 at Kalama High School, ending the Raiders season.
Lake Roosevelt went undefeated in league for the second consecutive year, winning the Central Washington 2B League championship and have now won seven or more games in a season for the past four years.
