LEAVENWORTH - The Colville Tribal Fish and Wildlife Department announced in a letter from the program director Joe Peone, June 4, the 2021 Colville Ps’quosa Spring Chinook Fishery at Icicle Creek is open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week to Wenatchi Band Members of hte Colville Confederated Tribes, the Ps’quosa People.

The fishery is slated to close July 31, unless announced earlier by CTFW.

Peone wrote, “The Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery is projected to collect the required broodstock necessary to achieve the LNFH program production target and fish to backfill potential broodstock short-gall for the Colville Tribes’ Chief Joseph Hatchery. For this reason, the 2021 Colville Ps’quosa Spring Chinook Fishery is now open 24 hours a day, 7 days per week…”
