An infrared flight of the fire yielded acreage around 2,426 acres.  Crews will be GPSing the fire for accurate acreage in the coming days.

Yesterday into last night, crews worked to strengthen lines through expanding and widening dozer lines and conducted burnout operations to remove vegetation between the line and advancing fire. The fire line held through the high winds during the Red Flag Warning and crews have mostly finished with burnout and line construction.

Today, crews will work to strengthen lines and remove snags that could potentially threaten crews working on the lines, but also could move burning material over the line.  Crews will begin to transition and focus on containment operations as lines become secure.  Night time operations will shift to patrolling the fire.  An increase in containment is due to the fire burning into the Greenhouse Fire on the eastern flank of the fire as well as crews establishing containment lines in fine (grass, sagebrush) fuels.

Evacuations:

Level 1 evacuations remain for the Columbia River Road area as well as the area between Redthunder-Cutoff Road, Mill Creek Road, and Harrison Ranch Road.
