The Buffalo Lake Road Improvement Project will resume today.

NESPELEM – The Colville Confederated Tribes Department of Transportation has asked those traveling through the Buffalo Lake Road find an alternate route if possible as construction will resume on the road today.

The announcement, distributed via tribal broadcast, stated construction would increase heavy truck traffic in the area.

Construction started in 2018 after the Colville Business Council unanimously approved a contract with Moyer Construction Inc. in the amount of $5,897,864 in early September.

The Buffalo Lake Road Improvement project includes 3.5 miles of roadway as listed on the contract’s corresponding resolution.
