NESPELEM - The Colville Tribal Fish and Wildlife Department announced, March 4, non-tribal member fishing is closed on the Colville Reservation until after May 31.

“Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Colville Business Council has extended its closure of the Colville Indian Reservation,” reads a release from CTFW. “The closure includes access to all boat launches, lakes, rivers and reservoirs within the exterior boundary of the reservation which includes Lake Roosevelt and Lake Rufus Woods.”

The release further notes, “Camping, fishing, hunting, hiking and other outdoor recreational activities within the exterior boundaries of the reservation are permitted only for tribal members and their immediate families who are residents of the Colville Indian Reservation, subject to all usual rules and regulations.”
