INCHELIUM – The Inchelium Elders will host a Colville Tribes Elder Dinner, June 12 at the Inchelium Community Center, bringing together elders from across the reservation and outlying areas.

The event, which starts at 9 a.m. with registration and brunch, will include a bingo at 10 a.m. and lunch at 12 p.m. It is anticipated to conclude at 3 p.m.

In the past, the event has brought in tribal elders from Quinault, Tulalip, Coeur d’Alene and Spokane reservations, as well as from surrounding areas off the reservation, said organizer Rose Ensminger.

Ensminger anticipates approximately 250 elders to attend.

Larry Ferguson will emcee. Teresa and Chris Schaffer will provide entertainment.

Door prizes and raffles will be held, and include a 55 inch television and a homemade quilt.

When asked about the quilt, Ensmingers stated the local elder who made it requested to remain anonymous.

For questions, contact Ensminger, 509-722-4685.
