NESPELEM - Colville Tribal Centralized Services Director Patrick Tonasket has issued a broadcast via tribal email announced administrative leave for non-emergency tribal employees for tomorrow, Sep. 8.

The email reads, "Due to the current wildfire situation across the reservation and surrounding communities, administrative leave is granted Tuesday, September 8th, for all non-emergency response staff.  We will reassess the situation tomorrow and get another message out as soon as we can. Please be safe.  Keep our firefighters and affected families in your thoughts and prayers."

Previously, Mount Tolman Fire Center announced there are five fires burning on the Colville Indian Reservation.
