NESPELEM - The Colville Confederated Tribes have released a COVID-19 Vaccination Distribution Plan in anticipation of COVID-19 vaccinations.
The release reads, "The Clinics serving the Colville Tribes are preparing for the authorized COVID-19 Vaccination, which will be arriving at the Lake Roosevelt Health Center and Colville Service Unit shortly. A specific date is unavailable. Planning for vaccination will be done in phases. This will assure the clinics are following the CDC and Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices recommendations. Coordination of the Vaccination will be an ongoing process."
In the first phase, the release notes those vaccinated will be, in phase 1A, health care workers, Colville Tribal Convalescent Center staff and residents, EMTs, direct contact Emergency Operation Center staff, and in phase 1B, elders over 65 years old and essential workers over 60 years old.
In phase 2A those eligible to receive the vaccination will be elders over 55, remaining EOC staff, educators, Correction staff, law enforcement, essential workers, and homeless populations, and in 2B will be patients with underlying conditions.
In phase 3 all healthy adults and healthy adolescents will be eligible.
The release notes the phase plan is subject to change based upon future distribution allocations.
