Chief Joseph Tailrace fishery

BRIDGEPORT - The Colville Tribal Fish and Wildlife Department has announced tribal members can selectively fish for hatchery-origin spring Chinook salmon at the Chief Joseph Dam tailrace and main steam Columbia River starting May 21.

The fishery will remain open through June 30, unless closed by the CTFW director.

A release from CTFW further notes, "There will not be a large gathering at this year's First Salmon Ceremony due to the COVID-19 virus."
