NESPELEM - The Colville Tribal Area Agency on Aging announced today, June 18, they will return to Monday through Friday meal delivery to seniors across the Colville Reservation June 22.

In a letter to the membership, AAOA staff wrote, "We want to let you know starting Monday, June 22nd we will be reducing the number of meals to Monday-Friday at each of our Senior Meal Sites. Our Senior/Meal Sites will remain closed to the public until further notice. We have a tentative date to start serving meals, providing activities, and opening on or near September 8th, 2020. Weekend delivery of meals will continue through the upcoming weekend.

Since the beginning of the Colville Tribes' local response to COVID-19, AAOA and the Colville Tribal EOC have delivered nearly 40,000 meals, according to the letter.

The site hours at each district meal site are 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

According to the letter, elders can pick up their meals by calling the centers at least a day in advance.
