NESPELEM – The Colville Confederated Tribes Elections Office has announced it will host two upcoming outreach events in recognition of the 2020 Presidential Primary Election and 2020 Census.

The Elections Office will host a 2020 Ballot Rally on Election Day, Tuesday, March 10 that will run until the closing of the ballot drop box at 8 p.m. 

The event will include a raffle eligible to all participants who provide proof of their submitted ballots to the Colville Tribal Elections Office.

Elections will also host a Census Opening Day Event Thursday, March 12 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The Deputy Director of the Los Angeles Region, which includes the entire West Coast, will be at the event.

Both events will be held at the Lucy F. Covington Government Center.

The Colville Tribes will be the first tribe Washington state to be counted in the 2020 Census.

Previously, the tribes hosted a voter drive and census event at the government center, Feb. 19.
