KELLER – Mount Tolman Fire Center announced the fire danger remains high across the Colville Reservation and the Industrial Fire Precaution Level is set at level two, a partial hootowl.

MTFC made the announcement Sept. 22.

Under the high fire danger, traditional fire permits and recreational fires are permitted in fire pits maintained by the Colville Tribes with the exception of fires pits along the Columbia River Road.

IFPL Level Two, a partial hootowl, allows industrial operation only between the hours of 8 p.m. an 1 p.m. daily. This includes operations of power saws, except at loading sites, cable yarding, blasting and welding or cutting of metal.
