This fall sports season, dozens of tribal members and descendant athletes made tremendous strides in their respective sports. Following the season, we like to highlight a select few of the standouts by naming them to the All-Tribune team. Here are this season’s selections!  

Cross-country

William Dick – Wellpinit

William Dick finished 77th (18:10.03) at the WIAA 1B/2B Boys State Cross-Country Championship race in Walla Walla on Nov. 9, capping off his freshman.

Kyle Edmo – Lake Roosevelt

Kyle Edmo went out with a bang as he qualified for a spot in this year’s WIAA 1B/2B Boys State Cross-Country Championship race in Walla Walla on Nov. 9. Edmo placed 110th (18:40.10). He was also named to the Central Washington 2B League Honorable Mention Team.

Isaac Hoskie – Inchelium

In his freshman year, Isaac Hoskie earned a spot spot in this year’s WIAA 1B/2B Boys State Cross-Country Championship race in Walla Walla on Nov. 9. He placed 135th (19:09.07).

Football

Tanner Hall – Omak [MVP]

Hall was the heart and soul of the Omak football team this past season, leading them to the quarterfinals of the WIAA 1A state tournament. Hall was named the Caribou Trail League Offensive Most Valuable Player of the year as a running back for the Pioneers. He was also selected to the Caribou Trail League All-League First Team for the running backs. Hall was also named to Caribou Trail League All-League First Team for defensive backs

Mathew Miller – Omak

In his senior year, Mathew Miller was named to the Caribou Trail League All-League Second Team as an offensive linemen.

Trevon Johnson – Lake Roosevelt

Trevon Johnson was an animal his senior year as he was named the Central Washington 2B All-League Defensive Player of the Year. Johnson earned honors as a defensive lineman. He was also named to the Central Washington 2B All-League first team as an offensive lineman.

Cameron St. Pierre – Lake Roosevelt

St. Pierre was a jitterbug on the field for the Raiders as he would be named the Central Washington 2B All-League Offensive Player of the Year. He was also named to the Central Washington 2B All-League First Team as a defensive back in his senior season.  

Sam Wapato – Lake Roosevelt

The big 6-foot-3 Wapato was big on both sides of the ball. He was named to the Central Washington 2B All-League First Team as a wide receiver and was also named to the Central Washington 2B All-League First Team as a defensive back in his junior year.

Myka Boyd – Lake Roosevelt

Myka Boyd, a junior for the Raiders, was named to the Central Washington 2B All-League First Team as an offensive linemen.

Malachi Rasmussen – Lake Roosevelt

Malachi Rasmussen, a junior for the Raiders, was named to the Central Washington 2B All-League Second Team as a wide receiver and was also named to the Central Washington 2B All-League Second Team as a defensive back. Rasmussen was also named to the Central Washington 2B All-League Second Team as a punter.

Tyson Nicholson – Lake Roosevelt

Tyson Nicholson, a sophomore for the Raiders, was named to the Central Washington 2B All-League First Team as a defensive linemen and was also named to the Central Washington 2B All-League Second Team as a wide receiver.   

Tyler Jordan – Lake Roosevelt

Tyler Jordan was named to the Central Washington 2B All-League First Team as a defensive linemen.

Jaimen Schmidt – Lake Roosevelt

In his first season as a Raider, Jaimen Schmidt was named to the Central Washington 2B All-League Second Team as a kicker.

Hunter Whitelaw – Lake Roosevelt

Hunter Whitelaw was named to the Central Washington 2B All-League First Team as a quarterback and was also named to the Central Washington 2B All-League First Team as a defensive back in his junior year.

Josh Flowers – Lake Roosevelt

Josh “Bobcat” Flowers was named to the Central Washington 2B All-League First Team as an offensive lineman

Tony Marchand – Omak

Aaron Black - Omak

James Smith – Okanogan

Josh Flowers – Lake Roosevelt

Hunter Whitelaw – Lake Roosevelt

Lonnie Simpson Jr. – Inchelium

William Dick IV – Wellpinit

 

Girls soccer

Mya Moses – Okanogan

In her senior year, Mya Moses helped Okanogan to a spot in the Caribou Trail League girls district soccer tournament, falling one game short of the crossover. Moses was named to the Caribou Trail League all-league first team as a midfielder. 

Kyona Edmo – Lake Roosevelt

Kyona Edmo, in her first year of playing soccer, made quite a splash as she was named to the Central Washington 2B All-League Second Team as a goalkeeper.

Madisyn Toulou – Lake Roosevelt

Madisyn Toulou, in her senior year, was named to the Central Washington 2B All-League First Team as a forward.

Almeta Desautel – Lake Roosevelt

In her sophomore season, Almeta Desautel would be named to the Central Washington 2B All-League Second Team as a defensive player.

Monique Samuels – Omak

Araceli Torres – Tonasket

Jasilynn Schilling – Lake Roosevelt

Glad Eyes Williams – Lake Roosevelt

 

Volleyball

Mia Pakootas – Lakeside [MVP]

Mia Pakootas was a force for Lakeside the past two years, helping the Eagles to an eighth and third place finish at the WIAA 1A state volleyball tournament the past two years. She was named to the Northeast 1A All-League First Team.

MacKenzie Arden – Wilbur-Creston

MacKenzie Arden in her sophomore year was named to the Northeast 2B North First Team.

Rylee Desautel – Inchelium

Rylee Desautel capped off her senior year by being named to the Northeast 1B First Team.

Honorable mention:

Sidney Dick – Lake Roosevelt

Scottie Adolph – Lake Roosevelt

Kaylee Seymour – Inchelium
